The Raptor GFX-8P is a PCI-based frame buffer made by TechSource. As far as I know, it's exactly the same as Sun's PGX 32 frame buffer, just with a different name. The card has 8MB video memory, is capable of 8 and 24bit displays and features a standard VGA output.
Tested Configuration
Aurora Version | Configuration | Remarks | Reporter |
1.0 | Ultra 5, 400MHz UltraSPARC IIi, Raptor GFX-8P framebuffer, 256MB RAM | The Raptor is not 100% supported by the installer and can also cause trouble when switching between X and console. Also, you need to use XFree86 3.3.6 drivers, as XFree86 4.x does not (yet?) fully support this card. | Emgaron |
1.0 | Tatung COMPstation U10, 400MHz UltraSPARC IIi, Raptor GFX-8P frame buffer, 640MB RAM | Same notes as for the Ultra 5 above apply. | Emgaron |
